Welcome to the Bio-optofluidics Laboratory at Rensselaer!

The Bio-Optofluidics Laboratory, directed by Professor Aram Chung, is a research group in Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) devoted to research on investigating microscale flows at finite Reynolds numbers. Based on a series of fundamental studies of inertial fluid behaviors in microscale and its integration with other modalities such as optics and electronics, the lab is developing a new class of practical high-throughput microfluidic systems for biomedicine and manufacturing.
